Known for building some of the best simulation software in the industry, CACI, inc. needed a way to ramp up their junior programmers on model operation quickly & efficiently.

Challenge Addressed
CACI needed a way to free up their Senior Programmers when attending Simulation Exercises. Model Operators needed to ramp up more quickly and become familiar with CACI's custom software solution prior to going live with a Simulation Exercise. The Model Administrators needed to be able to run all components of the program as well as troubleshoot most situations without additional assistance.

Description & Features
The CACI Exercise Training application provides Model Simulation Training for the JQUAD+ suite of simulation tools. This eLearning application not only delivers specific training for running the different component modules, but also furnishes detailed background information about how the modules correlate with each other. This is an important aspect of the program, because how each component correlates determines which modules should be initiated on system setup.

RedClay developed a tutorial section of the training application to take the user step by step through each setup routine. Screen captures and animations illustrate the steps in more detail. Related links are encompassed within the body of each step for access to additional information about specific modules. The user can bookmark areas for referencing during an actual exercise. The Exercise Training application also provides troubleshooting tips to help diagnose certain situations which may occur while the simulation is running. The user can access these tips while the simulation is running to help resolve the problem.

The JQUAD+ Simulation Application consists of nine major components with seven subsections which all interrelate in a very complex manner. Learning what each module does and how it correlates to the other components is imperative to knowing how to run the program. Training is essential to the successful operation of the simulation.

Benefits & ROI
The E-learning application not only reduced the amount of time spent training but also increased comprehension and productivity of the model operators. Senior programmers were no longer required to oversee the model operators. Additionally, typical ramp up time was reduced from three months training time to one month before attending a live exercise.
