Click to View 3d ModelThis 3d prototype was designed in 3d Studio max from pictures and measurements of the actual medical device. The Quicktime VR was developed from the animation incorporated in 3d Studio. The unit was a new very expensive prototype and therefore the company was reluctant to ship the unit around the country. The objective became to create an interactive cd which would be utilized as a corporate presentation as well as a training application. Click on the image to the right to see a Quicktime VR object movie.

The model was designed to enable the user to view the piece of equipment from all angles and to pull the components apart. Pop-up labels, allowed the user to point to different components and get a short description. How-to Videos showed the end user how to set up and run the unit. The 3d virtual tour video below illustrates the entire unit including internal parts and how they function.

You can click on the pause/play button to control video playback. The final application was burned onto a cd and distributed to the national sales force as a sales, marketing and training tool.
